Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP)The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Tbilisi announces the call for applications for short courses of category ‘‘C’’ and for Master’s degree programmes offered by a number of Dutch institutions under the Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP). The aim of the NFP is to contribute to the institutional development and capacity-building of Georgian organizations by training their staff. Master programmes and short courses are offered in the following fields:
- Agriculture, forestry and fishery
- Architecture and town planning
- Arts and humanities (only Master programmes)
- Business administration and management
- Education and teacher training
- Engineering
- Environmental science
- Fine and applied arts (only Master programmes)
- Law
- Mass communication and information science
- Mathematics and computer science (only Master programmes)
- Medical and health sciences
- Natural sciences
- Service, tourism & leisure
- Social and behavioral sciences
- Transport and communications
The NFP applicant should:
- be a citizen of Georgia or Armenia
- be a mid-career professional with at least three years of work experience
- have been unconditionally admitted to the Dutch institution that provides the course
- be nominated by her/his employer who pledges to pay the applicant’s salary and guarantees that the s/he will return to the same or higher position upon the end of the fellowship period
- not be employed by a large industrial, commercial, international or multinational organization
- be proficient in English
- not have received NFP or any other fellowship in three years prior to the start of the course
The applicants who meet the above criteria are invited to apply for the NFP fellowship at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Tbilisi. The application package should include the following:
- Application form (see enclosed,
Short Courses,
Master) - Admission letter from the Dutch institution (original not requested)
- Employer’s statement (according to the instructions detailed in the application form, page 5)
- Copy of the applicant’s passport
- Official results of either TOEFL (213 computer-based, 79 internet-based) or IELTS (6.0). This is not required from the applicants who received their tertiary education in English
- Copies of diplomas and educational records (notarization not requested)
- CV
Deadline for applying at the Embassy is 1 March 2010. Please note that the deadline of the course providers is approximately one month earlier than the Embassy deadline.
