Museum and Society: Book about Profession and Life of Personnel at the Georgian National Museum

Promoting of Composting for Sustainable Waste Managements in Tbilisi Parks

Overall Project goals is to address the problem of disposal of horticulture waste in Tbilisi and in the 5 public parks, as well as private gardens through introduction of simple composting methods. Project envisages working with the staff of the parks to arrange composting boxes as pilots and awareness raising in targeted private house owners in Tbilisi and general population through radio and TV.

Developing Family Support and Family Substitute Services for Children in Ozrugeti and Rustavi

Project goal is to contribute to expansion of the family based child care services in Georgian in the framework of the Child Welfare reform process.  Project aims to find solution to the gaps of the process of transforming Ozurgeti and Rustavi residential case houses. Small group home will be established in Ozurgeti, Day Care Centre will be fully functional and approximately 50 children will be involved and receive quality service in Rustavi; Children referred to the statutory child care system for residential care will go through the proper assessment; personnel working in Ozurgeti and Rustavil will have adequate skills and knowledge to provide family/community based child care support through trainings provided.

Equitable Job Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities

Lack of consistent internal policies in the workplaces enables social barriers to remain in place against PWDs. Their lack of job preparedness significantly reduces their changes for jobs, decent careers. HDP will focus on work with he employers, Employment Centres and develop internal policy for workplace to sent non-discriminatory hiring norms for disabled. HDP will also work with PWDs, train them in the basic job-hunting skills so they have better changes for jobs initially.
