On 15th of July this year, the Economic Department of the Embassy (Trade/Economic Officer Maia Todria) visited the Dutch company “Boskalis International B.V.” in Poti.

The company’s main business segments are: dredging and earthmoving, including the construction and maintenance of ports and waterways, land reclamation, coastal defence and riverbank protection; maritime infrastructure; maritime and terminal services.

“Boskalis International B.V. ” operates in Poti since 2005 and works on Poti Breakwater Rehabilitation Project, which is partly (35%) financed  with an ORET grant, issued by FMO on behalf of the Government of the Netherlands.

The construction of the breakwater is progressing according to the foreseen schedule, and is planned to be finalized in September this year.
