The growth in imports exceeded the growth in exports, resulting in a trade deficit of 514 million USD in the first half of 2006 compared 353 million USD in the first half of 2005.
For the first time, the export of products expressed in USD exceeded 1 billion USD in 2006.
The imports surpassed the borderline of 2 billion USD.
