Multilateral Assistance and other financial instruments in The HagueIn addition to the bilateral assistance managed by the Embassy, central budget lines from the Ministries (POBB, TMF / MFS, Stability Funds, etc) in The Hague have been committed to multilateral assistance and to (international) organisations. Amongst others, support to this region has been granted to:
- EBRD (Trade Facilitation programme and the Early Transition Countries fund);
- ODIHR (Regional earmarked contribution to the activities of ODIHR in the Caucasus, Central Asia and Croatia to finance a number of activities in the area of election technical assistance, increased participation of women in democratic processes, etc);
- HALO Trustfund (De-mining activities in Abkhazia for three years, EUR 978.5643, 2004-2007, Stability Fund);
- Center for International Legal Cooperation (financing of a rule of law project that provides training / seminars on criminal / adminstrative / contract law, TMF financing)
- Avalon Foundation (Regional activity aimed to develop organic agriculture, TMF)
- Milieukontakt, a Dutch NGO working in the area of elimination of obsolete pesticides in the region / solid waste management (TMF financing)
- Netherlands Helsinki Committee (Regional Programme focussing on strengthening of rule of law with a particular focus on strategic litigation, TMF)
- COC Netherlands / ILGA (Regional Programme focussing on the prevention & empowerment responding to HIV/Aids amongst sexual minorities, TMF)
- Press Now (Regional Programme focussing on strengthening independent media (TMF)
- GIA / Mental Health & Aids Prevention (TMF)
- WECF / Renovation of Sanitary Places
- Starlink: Security, Transparancy, Accountability and Reform: linking the security sectors of Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine to the European Mainstream. Implemented by the Centre for European Security Studies – training modules for security sector (POBB)
- Support to Geo Ministry of Defense (TA – training in area of budget planning and preparations, MTEF and life-cycle span. Implemented by NL Ministry of Defense.
